Join us in our wooden drift boat, Molly, for a friendly guided tour, trying your hand at fly fishing or spin fishing as we leisurely drift down the tranquil and majestic sections of the Waiau River.
About
Teeming with brown & rainbow trout and flowing through untouched rainforest, the Waiau river offers a very special wilderness experience that is accessible via watercraft. Join us in our wooden drift boat (AKA Molly) as we go with the flow and drift our way down the Waiau River.
Let our friendly local guide welcome you on board our drift boat, as we drift down the river having a go at trout fishing along the way. Both fly fishing and spin fishing is effective on the Waiau. We can take 1-2 clients on our drift boat at a time. This is a fantastic experience for larger groups, as we can include the drift boat for 2 clients that are part of a larger group that have also booked out jet boat fishing experience for the same time slot.
No prior fishing experience is required for this trip and everything your need for the day is supplied except your NZ fishing license. Availability is extremely limited, so bookings well in advance are advised.
Pricing
Full day drift boat - $1895 for up to 2 people (max two clients on drift boat, weight restriction of 100Kgs per client)
Half day drift boat - $995 for up to 2 people (max two clients on drift boat, weight restriction of 100Kgs per client. Half days are only available for larger groups that also book the jet boat experience for the same time slot)
25% Deposit required to secure your trip dates. Prices valid through May 31st, 2024.
Prices do not include your NZ fishing licenses, make sure you buy your license online before you trip!
