General Cancellation & Refund policies 

Deposits

25% deposits are required for all Fishjet NZ experiences with the exception of big game trophy hunting.

Early Booking prices

For bookings made via paid deposits for trip dates that extend beyond our current pricing period, our current pricing will be locked in for your trip and any price increases will not effect your trip balance.

Guided fishing trips 

We require cancellation 30 days prior to your trip departure for a full refund to the original card or account the booking was made on.  For cancellations made with less than 30 days notice, a full refund will only be provided if we can rebook your trip dates. If you need to cancel, please call us as soon as possible and we reserve the right to enforce our cancellation/refund policy but we will also use our discretion as we realise plans change.

Bike Transfers and Upper Waiau Water Taxi Service 

We require cancellation 48 hours prior to trip departure for a full refund to the original card or account the booking was made on. This policy does not apply if both parties agree severe weather conditions prevents the trip from commencing.  If you need to cancel within 48 hours, please call us as soon as possible and we reserve the right to enforce our cancellation/refund policy but we will also use our discretion.

Inclement weather

Fiordlands weather is fickle and rainfall is an intrinsic part of any trip to this part of the world. We all hope for gorgeous bright sunny days but it’s essential all clients appreciate that the weather is outside of our control. Refunds will not be given for clients that don’t want to venture out into undesirable weather conditions. Generally, our guides are keen the brave most weather conditions to get you into fish and show you a fun day on the water. The only time our guides will cancel a trip due to weather is if the conditions are severe and unsafe to operate in. Full refunds will be provided for cancellations made by the Fishjet NZ guide due to safety concerns.

Additional policies

Departure Times – Whilst we will always do our best to keep to our scheduled departure time, sometimes things happen and we have to adjust our schedule. We will let you know in plenty of time what the new arrangement will be and we will not let you down.

Media Consent – Fishjet NZ Ltd. reserves the right to the use of any images or footage taken on our trips for promotional purposes, e.g. Facebook, Intagram, Website, etc.

Privacy Policy – We can confirm your personal details will remain private with Fishjet NZ Ltd and not passed onto any third party.
